If you run a blog then you might be looking for the best affiliate programs for bloggers. Whilst there are lots of profitable blog niches, these are the affiliate programs for bloggers that every single blog should have, no matter what your niche. Let's get stuck in.
What is affiliate marketing?
If you are new to affiliate marketing then you might be wondering what it is, and why bloggers love it so much.
Affiliate marketing is where you get paid for sending customers or subscribers to a product or service using your own affiliate link. You are then paid when a reader of yours clicks through to make a purchase or signs up.
The amount of money you can make will depend on the program, plus how much each sale costs.
Why bloggers love affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is my favourite way to make money from blogging, and here is why:
Unlimited earning potential & rewarded for effort
In a typical 9 – 5 job you take home a salary every month, and might be lucky enough to earn a bonus once a year.
However with affiliate marketing you are rewarded financially for the effort that you put in to increasing your affiliate marketing commision.
Bloggers work hard to bring traffic to their blogs, update old posts, work on search engine optimisation, run various social media channels and build up a community. As a blogger using these affiliate programs and networks you will get rewarded for your efforts with affiliate marketing.
Passive income
The best thing about affiliate marketing for bloggers for me is that I can earn a passive income.
I can write a blog post once and earn money from it for years and years afterwards.
This means that I can spend my time how I want to spend it. Some of the time I want to spend my time working on, and some of the time it is spending time away from a computer and being with my family and friends.
Low start up cost
Starting a blog is much cheaper than starting many other businesses.
I have a dream to own a house clearance business, but once you think about renting out a warehouse, getting a van, insurance and employing staff it is really expensive to make a start. Whereas starting a blog costs less than £100 per year. I spend more than that on my hobbies that don't make me money!
Starting a blog and making money in just 90 days is entirely possible!
Work from anywhere
Another great thing about affiliate marketing for bloggers is that you can work from anywhere.
For some of us that means being able to travel the world and work from exotic locations. For others it means being able to work in the school car park before picking up your children.
Being able to work from anywhere is such a great feeling. My favourite is working from the sofa in autumn with a blanket and a candle lit.
Your website host
Every single blogger should be able to recommend their blog's hosting provider – and if you can't recommend them then you should be looking to swap from them to another provider anyway.
I use and recommend Siteground for many of my blogs, and they have an affiliate program available. Most website hosts will have an affiliate program or a refer a friend scheme that you can utlise.
How to promote your website host using affiliate links
Your web host is on of the best affiliate programs for bloggers because it works for every single niche. For instance, if you have a garden blog you might have inspired some of your readers to start a gardening blog of their own. By providing tutorials and reviews about your web host you can easily make

Mailing list provider
Having a mailing list is one of the best things I ever did for my blog!
Across my blogs I use both Mailerlite and Flodesk, who are both great to promote because they don't cost anything initially, meaning your readers can test out them out for themselves without spending any money.
Affiliates that don't require anyone to spend money initially are great to convert your readers too, because there is no risk for them.

Best Affiliate programs for bloggers – KeySearch
I love Keysearch for doing my keyword research across all of my blogs and projects.
Keyword research is how I decide which keywords to write about to help my websites to rank high on Google.
The higher they rank on Google the more traffic I get to my blogs, and the more money I can make.
Keysearch is one of the cheapest keyword research tools out there with fantastic results, and I have been using it for years now.
Since it is something I use myself it is easy to list it as a recommendation or blogging resource, as well as writing a post about how I use it and how it has helped me to increate my blog traffic.
